Sydney

My best friend came to Australia!! Nearly cried when I got to hug my mama. So happy she was here to explore the world with me. Sydney made me feel like I was back home in Seattle with the big city vibe but A LOT more clean and bombarded with tourist. We did everything there was to do in Sydney. We rode along on a tour bus to see the different areas of the city while learning all about the history. We spent time at Bondi beach then rode a ferry to experience another beach where we caught dinner and watched the sun go down. If you know my mum, you know how much she loves to walk and so we did.. many kilometers (or miles) of exploring the city, walking across Sydney Harbour Bridge and witnessing the famous Opera House up close and personal. Walking around all the outside markets and even went to Sydney's Aquarium! I love aquariums and we even got to go inside with the penguins to watch them be fed. Another one of our excursions was a 'High Tea at Sea' and if you know me, I am tea and ocean lover so this was perfect. To stuff our tummies (because thats what Americans do), we ate at the Sydney Tower Eye buffet during sunset.. I would highly recommend for anyone who makes it out to this side of the world, to go to the top and seeing the beautiful view it has of the city. Sydney's Eye is one of the tallest building's in the city and spins at the top just like the Seattle Space Needle! We experienced the cities nightlife and drank to celebrate all of our presence being in Australia! Sydney is a very expensive place to live so you don't get much for your money especially at hotels. Regardless, I was so happy to experience one of Australia's most famous cities and even more so with my mum and Doug!
